If nature has the power to produce electrical discharges like an electric eel, how can materials do the same? How can we light up our streets without the need of generators and vast wiring to provide distribution?

What about charging our devices wirelessly? No más cables! Yes, no more wiring! Well there are many devices that can help you with that, but no one had thought about a finish material for walls that can actually provide energy for our devices! Interestante! Architect Eric Olsen from Superficial Studio (California) and inventor of the Solar Water Disinfecting Tarpaulin, designed this interesting gypsum wallboard with electro-conductive capacity with vast extension area. Imagine yourself just attaching your phone to a wall and charging it, connect a wired lamp and turn it up! Creatively, this wall can make perfect sense with the famous conductive paint I previously posted. My mind is in a trip right now. Although their patents are still pending, this promises to be a groundbreaking idea for the production of electricity at any environment.

Conveniently Laurence Kemball-Cook (London), designed recycled rubber paving tiles called Pavegen, that can produce electricity in mass by footsteps. For starters, it can energize streetlights and signs and its expected to raise it’s capacity upon improvement of the product. Its practicality and materials is going through a great path and is adding itself to a new statement and life style making our cities smarter. As it is 80% about recycled materials on it’s bottom, what you step on is 100% recycled rubber.
So basically you can have a space that can provide me electricity both on floors and walls, could it get any better?
